Importing DVD video into Final Cut Express 4.1

I'm trying to import video material from a DVD (i have copyright permission for) into final cut express. i'm on a OSX E Captain operating system with FCX version 4.1.... what is the suitable available software for this task? thanks kindly, chris

Ordinarily, I'd recommend MPEG Streamclip, but Apple no longer offers the MPEG Playback component…so I'd check outHandbrake.

What's FCE 4.1. Would the be 4.0.1?
